Welcoming You to the Open Arms
Educational Campaign

The Open Arms educational campaign is a new source of information for the approximately 1 million Americans who are living with spasticity, many of whom have spasticity in the upper limbs following a stroke.1 The Open Arms educational campaign aims to reach those living with upper limb spasticity and those who care for them with education and resources designed to help with recognizing and managing this debilitating condition. Through this campaign, you can:

  • Learn about upper limb spasticity and its symptoms
  • Find out about care and treatment options
  • Learn about the healthcare professionals who specialize in upper limb spasticity and find a doctor in your area
  • Hear from people like you who know first-hand the impact of upper limb spasticity

Allergan, the maker of BOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA), has joined forces with a coalition of national patient advocacy organizations that serve people with conditions that may lead to upper limb spasticity, including: National Stroke Association (NSA); United Cerebral Palsy (UCP); National Spinal Cord Injury Association (NSCIA); United Spinal Association (USA); and the Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA). Beloved television actor, writer and producer Henry Winkler, a caregiver to his mother who suffered from upper limb spasticity for 10 years following a stroke, is the ambassador of this educational initiative. Through his work, Henry will help promote awareness and education to those impacted by upper limb spasticity.
